John Cena is unarguably one of the best WWE superstars of all time. He has captured the WWE championship 16 times in his career. He has a massive fan base amongst younger fans of WWE. 

Currently, Cena is on a WWE retirement tour, he shockingly turned heel last month at Elimination Chamber 2025. He is set to appear at tonight’s RAW for the first time since.

John Cena had a popular gimmick inspired by the armed forces of the United States of America, where he used a military salute at his entrance. 

Cena has numerous times shared his love and respect for the armed forces of his country.

Fans often think John Cena was in the military due to the nature of his gimmick. And the answer to the question is Cena was never in the military.

However, he wanted to join the armed forces of the United States of America and serve his country before he started his journey to become a professional wrestler.

John Cena started his acting career in 2006 in Hollywood with a military-themed movie called Marine.  

Where John Cene played a former Marine cop’s character who ran on a mission to find his kidnapped wife.

Triple H reacts to John Cena’s heel turn 

Cena turned heel at the 2025 Elimination Chamber and shocked the entire world as sixteen-time WWE Champion became a bad guy after being top babyface for 20 long years.

While speaking at the post-event press conference, CCO Triple H responded to this historic heel turn, and here’s what he had to say: 

“And then John Cena drops a nuke. I think I’ve been fortunate enough to be around la ot of the biggest things in the last 30 years. I don’t know if I’ve ever felt a more powerful moment. In the entirety of John Cena’s career, being the one guy you never really saw as a heel.

“In the beginning of his career, whatever. When he really became John and the Champion. You didn’t see this moment coming. He said

“You get to a place in your career when you know you have months left in your career and your dream and the thing that launched you to the rest of the world, to movie stardom, to everything he has in the rest of his life, it puts you in a different perspective,” said HHH.
