Conor McGregor has been absent from the UFC octagon since 2021. The Notorious lost his last bout against Dustin Poirier. Where he broke his leg and suffered what seemed like a career-ending injury.
However, McGregor was set to return last year at UFC 303 against Michael Chandler, but due to a toe injury, he had to pull out, and since then, his mixed martial arts career has been in limbo.
This week, Conor McGregor created a massive buzz by posting a story of Dana White, calling his name during an old UFC presser. He urged White to get ready.
While speaking to Adam Glyn, Dana White provided a significant update regarding Conor McGregor’s UFC return.
Uncle White expressed that he hasn’t talked to McGregor yet, and his return to the octagon is not happening anytime soon.
“[Conor McGregor] is not returning to the UFC any time soon. I haven’t spoken to him in a minute,” said Dana White.
UFC Legend claims if Conor McGregor returns, it will be the worst
While speaking on his YouTube Channel, former UFC Middleweight legend Chael Sonnen claimed it would be the worst comeback ever:
“There is not an athlete under contract with the company that Conor can beat. That’s not meant to be mean. The worst, the least experienced 155-pounder would clean him up. The worst, the least experienced 170-pounder would clean him up. If Conor was to come back and enter at 55 or enter at 70, he would be the worst in the entire division. Not because he wasn’t great, just ’cause he hasn’t been doing it,” said Sonnen.

It will be interesting to see when Conor McGregor returns to the Ultimate Fighting Championship, or if his mixed martial arts career is finished.
