Brock Lesnar returned to WWE after almost two years ‘ sabbatical at SummerSlam 2025 and attacked his old rival John Cena, laying groundwork for the grand finale of their historic feud.

However, Cena was unexpectedly booked to face Logan Paul.
Why is Brock Lesnar vs. John Cena delayed by WWE?
Recently, Jimmy Van, the founder of Fightful.com, provided a major update on Cena vs. Lesnar, revealing that the match won’t happen before September 20, as the Stamford-based promotion wants to compete with AEW All Out.
“The idea of WWE holding off on John Cena vs. Brock Lesnar until September 20 so that they can book it head-to-head against AEW All Out is savage. It’s also not surprising, because World Wrestling Entertainment has long shown to be very cutthroat when it comes to business,” he reported.
It appears the match between Cena and Lesnar will take place at Crown Jewel 2025. Share your thoughts on WWE’s strategic move to counter its competition.
