Brock Lesnar returned to WWE at the 2025 SummerSlam premium live event and attacked John Cena.
The Beast’s return has stirred up controversy, and a popular theory suggests The Rock is behind Lesnar’s return, and two icons have been working in cahoots.
Are Brock Lesnar and The Rock working together in WWE?
Speaking on his Notsam Wrestling podcast, analyst Sam Roberts responded to the speculation and said it’s very unlikely the Final Boss and Lesnar will work together.
However, Robert expressed that Stamford-based promotion could translate it into a storyline in which The Rock sent Brock Lesnar to hunt Cena, who violated the deal between them.
I don’t think that it’ll have anything to do with The Rock. I mean, it could be like The Rock sends Brock in because of what John Cena said, and John Cena, you know, stepped away from the plan. It’s possible, but I doubt it. You know, at this point in his career, you don’t really see Brock Lesnar as the soldier type. You see, Brock Lesnar is not really on assignment from anybody. Things will surely get chaotic as Brock embarks on another WWE run, which may last longer and have some exciting storylines.
