John Cena gets a new deal with WWE

John Cena’s iconic WWE career nears its end as his retirement tour reaches 70 percent completion; he will hang up his boots later this year.

However, John Cena has already secured a new role with the company.

The Last Real Champion has become the ambassador for ESPN’s new app, where WWE PLEs will be streamed under a new deal starting in 2026.

Cena will portray a “sports coach” in the ads, guiding potential buyers to the upcoming ESPN app, which launches later this month.

John Cena to compete in an important WWE match this month

The post-SummerSlam 2025 edition of SmackDown saw a shocking match when Logan Paul challenged the Last Real Champion for a match at Clash in Paris 2025.

And Cena accepted the offer despite massive anticipation for his match against Brock Lesnar, who attacked him after SummerSlam 2025 night two’s main event.

It appears Lesnar will be Cena’s final feud before he retires. Therefore, before that, WWE is likely evolving Logan Paul by putting him against a 17-time champion.
